Robert Gendler relied on RegiStar during multiple stages of the processing required to create
this unique composite image based on both professional and amateur data. First, RegiStar was used to match the
large-image-scale,
space-based Hubble data with wider-field, ground-based professional data. Then, the
the combined professional-data luminance was matched with Gendler’s own amateur-scale RGB color data to
achieve the final image,
which is a visible-light colorized composite image featuring the impressive detail of professional instruments.
